Providers

Every provider meets KRS’s strict requirements of being non-smokers, non-drinkers, ethical people, who have a caring personality and have had educational exposure in varying forms of early childhood development or education study. Only those caregivers who have had background checks are allowed to tend your child. All providers are bonded and insured to meet the high standards of KRS as well as the meeting the standards required by the major hotels and resorts we serve.

Lara

Lara is the owner of Kids ‘R Special childcare service. Lara‘s early education was in Early childhood development. She has an extensive background in behavioral psychology. This experience lends to her childcare knowledge and interests. Her continuing education is in the neuropsychology of the developing brain. Lara’s basic philosophy is that “Your child is a Person” and that indeed childcare with heart and logic makes sound sense and is a model that she uses regularly. Every child is an individual, with their very own personalities which requires mutual respect, consistent guidance and gentle care.

As a certified Life and Business Coach, a facilitator for The Listening Program and an advocate for "Parenting with Love and Logic", Lara is available for consulting on Childhood behavior issues.

Evelyn

Evelyn has been a teacher of young children for over thirty years, including owning her own school in Colorado. She has served private schools in Santa Fe, NM for over 13 years. She is calm, patient, wise, and respectful of the little friends for whom we care. Evelyn brings experience, knowledge and three BA degrees in Art, Early Childhood, and Relationships to KRS.

Josh

Josh is one of several male providers for KRS. “Awesome, Great, and Fun and Thanks for sending Josh” are some of the reviews we get about Josh. He brings a degree as a Child Development Specialist, teacher, Juggler and Ventriloquist. He is the perfect provider for high activity children. In addition to family visitors to our city, he serves on our team with large groups around a four state area. Those events usually includes boys, especially those (8+). Children learn a lot from Josh and always consider him a friend. No push-over, Children quickly know where they stand within our Love and Logic philosophy.

Eva

Eva has served a number of celebrity families as a House Manager and Nanny. The consummate professional, Eva has a BA and Masters in psychology. As well, she has served the Elderly, as a CNA caregiver. Intelligent, joyful, kind and compassionate are just a few of Eva’s wonderful qualities. Eva is a real find for KRS and for you as a client, very fortunate when she is available.

Britt

Britt is an exceptional young woman. She is a mother of two small bright and active children. She is smart, kind and interested in all children. Britt has a masters in Family Relations, and Childhood studies. Britt has worked with KRS for a number of years. Children love the fun, love, and logic she brings to each job.

Meshan

Meshan is a school teacher as well as mother to four beautiful, well behaved and mannerly children. Her family serves her church and our larger community as active participants including our national disasters. Her husband is often deployed to areas designated by the government as Emergency Disasters, where his professional services are needed. Meshan supports those callings by carrying on the family daily routines.

I have observed children who are new to our care gravitate to her confidant, kind, and gentle demeanor. Meshan serves KRS when available. We love her.

Holly

Holly is a young mother of a two year old daughter. She is a Health and exercise coach with a local and internet clientele. Holly is an energetic, hands on fun person who interacts with children in a heart and logic manner. She is a caring and responsible childcare provider. Holly is active in the education of young children in her church callings. Holly's husband is in a local nursing program and works at our largest local hospital.

Adrianna

Adrianna is our quiet, gentle, playful provider who has worked with KRS for a number of years. A full-time state government employee, mother of two teenage boys, Adrianna has a surplus amount of patience, kindness and fun she brings to our clients children. Bring on the games…she is always ready on evenings and weekends.

Melissa

Melissa is our newest provider. We are happy to have this confident qualified woman on our list of providers. Melissa serves a major school in the community as an assistant special education teacher of severely handicapped children. When I observed her classroom I found a spot on teacher/provider with experience, kindness, and compassionate. As well, she is the mother of three children. We are happy to have this well-qualified lady on our call-list.

Sheila

Sheila has worked with Kids ‘R Special since 2009. She has taught art to young children at a Montessori school. Her loving and soft demeanor has a secure and calming effect on small children. As an artist, Sheila brings a creative spirit to her little charges. She is also an excellent cook and can offer a variety of skills to interest little hands. The children she serves know that Sheila loves them…and will quickly tell you so. She serves KRS in Memphis, TN.

Deanne

Deanne has a degree in fine arts and photography. As a Mom, she has 3 children and home schools her teen-age son. Deanne brings a joy of creative play and a gentle and loving spirit to the children she tends. Organized, elegant and a creative artist are the best words to describe Deanne. Her beautiful lyric soprano voice has comforted many children who away from their parents needed the comfort of music and backrubs to fall asleep.

Ruth

Ruth has four children ages from toddler to school age. She is the quintessential mother. As well, Ruth is a student of nursing and studies to become a Physician’s assistant. In the meantime, local residents and tourist are secure in leaving their children in Ruthie’s hands.

Julie

Julie’s formal college education was in early childhood education. She is a creative woman of many talents. She has a fun, creative and loving spirit. Julie can create an atmosphere of fun and games to entertain children of all ages from infant to pre-teen. She offers cooking/chef lessons and has worked with inner-city schools to teach children how foods are grown and prepared. Julie has a special compassion and repore with children of all ages. Julie educates children and adults in the art and variety of healthful food choices. Julie serves KRS on St. Louis and Santa Fe when she is here.

Confidentiality

Our providers agree in writing to keep information about the families that they serve, other providers, and Kids R Special staff in strictest confidence. The only exception is when to do so would endanger the physical or emotional well-being of a child.
